Rainy Day Thoughts

Sitting here listening to the rain fall (and suffering the disappointment of the bike staying in the shed on Easter Sunday) I thought i would share some of the thoughts and dreams for Australian Moto Gear & Clothing.

Our dream is to one day be the premier supplier of branded merchandise to Motorcycle & Car Groups around Australia, and with that build in the Ability for us to be a part of the groups, make the friends and relationships along the way.

When we get a group setup and running, we are going to do an interview with the Groups Admins and post a story about said group of people and what they are about, we not only want to do business, but we want to help all the groups grow, and help people find them.

We have two groups on board at the moment, We Ride Australia (A large Australia Wide riding group of all types of people and bikes), & AuStrom (Aussie V-Strom Riders) (A growing group of Suzuki V-Strom Riders).

The member response from both buying their group specific merchandise has been fantastic for our first week of trading, all orders have been filled and posted, the take up of our riding socks has been a surprise (dint expect to sell quite so many), but we are hoping that everyone's feet are that bit more comfortable!

We have been asked what sort of gear we are going to stock on top of group member merchandise, We have been asked for all sorts of bits and pieces in our first week!

First and foremost we want to be able to supply the simple items that no matter the style of bike you can use. We are adding Side stand pads & tyre repair kits (just waiting for them to land from our supplier), We will add products over time, and we love suggestions so don't hesitate to send us an email or a Facebook message with your thoughts.

We have been asked for riding gear, that is down the track a little, we need to get everything bedded in and working properly first, if we rush into all this, we will make a mistake and let our customers down (and we don't want that!).

For everyone who has shopped with us this week, Thank You, really appreciated the support!

We hope everyone has had a safe Easter, that you got to go for a ride or a drive to clear the mind, we are hoping to get out for a blast tomorrow if we are lucky.

Thanks for Reading!

One of my plans with Australian Moto Gear & Clothing is to showcase the places we visit, the roads we ride and the people we see, Below is my crack at it.
Being a public holiday here in Toowoomba, I got up at 5.30am with a few little plans, firstly drop in on my local riding group DARLING DOWNS RIDERS who where setting off on one of their riding challenge days the DDR1000 which is a 1000km riding day for people who want to test themselves a little

After waving the crew goodbye, it was fuel and heading off down the range to Esk to meet up with a great mate of mine Poul (Growly), snapped a shot on the Toowoomba Range which summed up how nice a day it was

Its funny in S.E Queensland and riding at this time of year, you can go from sunshine into fog in 20 minutes, and 20 minutes your in the clear again! While the riding was uneventful, it is certainly amazing how helmet time clears the brain....
Landed in Esk at a really nice little cafe called ENIGMAS CAFE that has new owners, and are very friendly to the motorcycling world, the coffee was fantastic, and the bacon and eggs not far behind!

There is a little joke with this next photo, Poul (Growly), and Dave (Diesel) have just spent 10 days riding around Queensland posting up all these pictures of silhouettes and asking there world where i was....it was nice to get one back as dave went home and was safely tucked up in bed! So yes, has anyone seen Diesel??

Next was off to ride one of the great stretches of road in S.E Queensland, ESK-HAMPTON ROAD, 45km of wonderful road that i would do every day if I could, if you get the chance go and do it, you wont regret it, it can be a little rough in places, but that is how most of these great riding roads are going now.....

The Views are rather awesome as well!

I even got to test out one of the new SIDE STAND PAD's we have in stock now, and it worked a treat!

Dropped Poul off at the servo, waved goodbye, and I was home by 10am, with a full belly, 170km riding under the belt, as usual the V-Strom ran like a dream, so all in all I am happy!
Cheers & Thanks for reading!

WHO IS BEHIND THE KEYBOARD?

Hello Everyone,
My name is Graham Strang, and Australian Moto Gear & Clothing is my project.

I am based in Toowoomba, Working in our family business (Hip Pocket Workwear & Safety Toowoomba) with my mother (Prue), my father (David), and my sister (Nikki) doing uniforms, screenprinting, footwear and safety equipment
Proud Father and Husband, recreational sportsman (D Grade Opening Batsman), but my main passion is around motorcycling and the people that go with it.
I hail from a Western Queensland town of Winton, where i grew up on 42,000 acres of sheep and cattle country.
I own a 2010 Suzuki DL650 these days, but have come from the Honda ST1300 & ST1100, after having Sports bikes and cruisers beforehand.
I helped build the current version of the Honda ST Owners Club, which is a Nationally based group with over 900 members, and also helped found the Darling Downs Riders, which is a local riding group based in the Darling Downs in SE Queensland that has now over 1,100 members.
I ride many ways, everything from a coffee 5km down the road, day rides, weekend overnighters, to doing FarRides, and I have even been as far as achieving an Iron Butt Ride (1,600km in 24 hours), i love all types of motorcycling and respect anyone on two wheels regardless of size or type of bike, age or who is riding the motorcycle.
The idea behind Australian Moto Gear & Clothing was from my years of dealing with groups who are not a "club" so to speak and want to have their own identity & merchandise, but don't have the funds, and do not really want to handle money, so we will help design and stock the items your "group" would like to use, and we will list it in our website for you, and all you have to do is provide your members with the web link and they can go shopping, and you don't have the stress to worry about.
I hope to see more of you around the roads, and we can work together!

Cheers

Graham Strang
